EV Charging, mandates on electrification of various systems, and overall population growth is putting a heavy strain on our current system. So how do developers get things done with delays and/or lack of capacity from the utilities?

Fortunately, these challenges have created an increased interest in renewable energy and renewable energy technology. Solar and Battery technologies have been on an exponential improvement curve over the last 5 years. Materials are becoming more efficient and cost effective. That, coupled with increased participation from Government at all levels from federal to municipal; means developers and property owners have the opportunity to take advantage and not only develop, but do it in a meaningful way that maximizes property value opportunities and reduces the carbon footprint.

Astera has focused on just this since we formed 2 years ago. As licensed contractors in the State of California, we have installed EV Charging systems, Solar systems and helped many plan for future electric needs. Beyond just California, we have participated in micro-grid developments both in the US and abroad. Similarly, we are pioneering a plastic conversion process that will play an integral role in waste management.
